Quickly capture any webpage to OneNote where you can easily edit, annotate, or share it. Clip the full page, or clip only the article, recipe, or product information you really need. I am using Lotus Notes and I am receiving emails with OneNote hyperlinks everyday. However, when I click on them, instead of these hyperlinks open OneNote application directly, they do open my default browser (Chrome) instead (home page), and of course the OneNote link never opens. OneNote is a great tool with a lot of wonderful features. But it is mainly for people who already have a Microsoft Office 365 plan and want to combine it with the other apps. If you use something else like Google’s apps, there are better OneNote alternatives. Once online I can also use the Chrome extensions Clip to OneNote and Send to OneNote to capture information to my notebooks for easy online, offline, and mobile access. It’s not perfect. This setup is not perfect by any stretch of the imagination and could be duplicated by a number of other tools.

Decide where in your OneNote page you want to put your notes, and then OneNote docks to the side of the desktop.
As you take notes, an anchor (the Chrome icon) shows to tell you a link has automatically been created. Hovering over this anchor shows what the note was taken about, and click on the anchor will jump back to the web page in the chrome.
Enable Chrome Developer Mode

- In Chrome, click main menu -> More tools … -> Extensions menu item. It open “Extensions” management page.
- In the upper right corner of the extension management page, there is a 'Developer Mode' switch. Just turn on the switch.

After turn on the “Developer Mode” switch, there are 3 buttons appear on the extension page.
- Click the “Load unpacked” button.

Install Extension Successfully
Click OK button, we can see that the Anchor to OneNote extension is loaded in.
At the same time, in the toolbar, you can see the icon of Anchor to OneNote.
