VLC Media Player is quite simply the most versatile, stable and high quality free media player available. It has rightly dominated the free media player market for over 10 years now and looks like it may for another 10 thanks to the constant development and improvement by VideoLAN Org. Technical Title: VLC Media Player for Mac 2.1.4 for Mac. Devices and Mac OS X version. VLC media player requires Mac OS X 10.7.5 or later. It runs on any Mac with a 64-bit Intel processor or an Apple Silicon chip. Previous devices are supported by older releases. Note that the first generation of Intel-based Macs equipped with Core Solo or Core Duo processors is no longer supported.

We have a wired and wireless home network that includes 2 UPnP servers (a Panasonic BD recorder and a DXtreme PVR), 2 iMacs, a Macbook Pro, a Win 10 PC and 3 printers. The Win PC running VLC Media Player can see (and play recorded video material stored on) the 2 UPnP servers and the servers when acting as clients, can see each other and play each other’s recorded material. However none of the Macs running VLC 2.2.4 can see the UPnP servers. Can anyone tell me why this is so and hopefully how to fix this problem?
